Pricing

What it costs.

Companies in this market usually write "contact us for pricing", look at your website, and quote you whatever they think you can afford. We would rather put the numbers here and let you work out on your own whether it is worth a call.

$1,500 once

The whole of stage one. You pay $500 when we start and $1,000 when it is live and you have heard it handle real calls from your customers.

Around $70 a month

The voice platform, the call minutes, the phone number and the server. You open these accounts yourself and pay the vendors directly.

$250 a month, optional

Support from the third month onwards. The first two are free, because that is when we are still correcting the assistant on your recordings.

The setup fee

Where the forty hours go.

We work at a fixed hourly rate and the setup fee is roughly forty hours of it. Here is how those hours are spent, so you can tell us to drop something you do not need.

Teaching the assistant

An hour with you, then the knowledge base, the call script, the rules for handing over to a person, and choosing a voice from several options you listen to.

Building the list

Inquiry cards, statuses, owners, notes, the history of changes, search, and a full export to a file.

Connecting the channels

Your website form, your shared inbox, photos attaching to the right job, and the text message that goes out after each call.

The parts nobody quotes for

Server, HTTPS, logins, nightly backups with a restore we actually test, and a data processing agreement. These are included here and they are the usual source of a surprise invoice elsewhere.

Two weeks of corrections

After it goes live we listen to the recordings and fix what it got wrong. This is where most of the quality comes from and it is already paid for.

Handover

A walkthrough with written instructions, and two further rounds of changes once you have used it for a few weeks.

The monthly

Why your software bills come to you.

At the volume a small contractor does, the voice platform, minutes, number and server come to roughly seventy dollars a month. Every one of those accounts is opened in your company's name, on your card.

We could put all of it on one invoice, add a margin and call it a subscription, which is what most of this market does. We would rather you saw every line. The day you decide to leave there is nothing for us to hold on to, because you already own the accounts, the recordings and the data.

There is a version of this that costs thirty dollars a month and answers your phone. If that is genuinely all you need, buy it and keep your fifteen hundred dollars. What you are paying us for is the assistant knowing your business well enough not to embarrass you, and every inquiry landing somewhere you can run the week from.

Questions

About the money.

Is there a contract?

Not on the setup fee. You pay half to start and half when it works. Support is month to month and stopping it costs you nothing, because the accounts and the data are already in your name.

What happens if we decide it is not for us?

You keep the assistant, the knowledge base, the job list and every recording. You carry on paying the seventy dollars of tools directly, or you switch them off. We do not take anything back and there is nothing to uninstall from our side.

Do the later stages cost this much as well?

They vary, because quoting from a price list is a different size of job depending on how your prices work. Each one gets a number before we start and you decide then. We have never sent an invoice for something a client had not agreed to in advance and we are not going to begin now.

Is there a discount for going first?

Yes. Our first clients in the US pay less in exchange for letting us describe the work once it is running and the numbers are real. We do not have American references yet and we would rather buy them with margin than borrow somebody else's logo.
